Wednesday 29th May

Trisha and I are going to the cinema later, Meena can't come she has an exam to revise for tomorrow and Trisha asked if I would like to come to the hospital with her to see baby Chloe before we go.

Chloe is now out of the danger zone and should be allowed home in a few days. She is so cute, the way Trisha looks at her, I'd love it if my mum had a baby...I wonder if I can get her to change her mind….

We pop to the loo before we leave and just as we are coming out I see a lady pushing a buggy that looks a bit familiar, she looks up at the guy next to her and I recognise him too........it's Nick. He spots me and all the colour drains from his face. I take another look at the woman with the buggy, her blonde hair is tied up and she looks tired and gaunt, but I recognise her now, it's Jo, Nick's ex-girlfriend, I look at the child in the buggy, a dark haired boy of about 2 years old.

'Nick, what's going on?' I say, what is he doing here with Jo?

'Flora, I can explain' he says

'Hi Flora' says Jo 'this is Sam' she points to the boy 'Your little cousin'

I look at Nick and my mouth drops open 'What?'

Trisha says she'll wait for me outside.

'Nick you better tell me what is going on right now' I say

'Yes Nick, you should tell her' Jo stands there glaring at Nick

I look down at little Sam in the buggy and he looks up at Nick and says 'Daddddddyyyyyyyy' the boy has a plaster cast on his little leg

The little boy just call Nick Daddy

Nick grabs my elbow and leads me to a seated area and Jo follows with the Sam.

Nick tells me that two months ago Jo showed up at the Garage Nick works at with baby Sam, he hadn't seen her for two and a half years, she had been pregnant when they broke up and she had told him she was going to have an abortion, that was one of the reasons they broke up and Nick was left utterly broken hearted. Jo went to stay with her Aunt up north and then had a change of heart and decided to keep the baby. She didn't try to contact Nick or let him know she just wanted to get on with her life but Sam got ill (nothing serious) and Jo decided it was time to come back to London and tell Nick about his son, at first Nick didn't believe her but when he clapped eyes on the boy there was no mistaking that Sam was his. By the time Jo showed up he was already engaged to Monique and he just didn't know how to tell her or anyone for that matter about Sam. He has been keeping it to himself until he figures out what to do. Sam had
